2013 Summer Concert Season
Wow!! This past month and a half has been jam packed with some great local concerts and festivals that we have had the pleasure of being a part of. We kicked off the summer with the inaugural Seawalk Music Festival at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jax Beach. This event, first of its kind, brought together only Jacksonville’s finest food and entertainment for an “all local” affair.
Next up was the weekend double-header of the Roscolusa Songwriters Festival and the Freedom Festival at the Orange Park Mall. Roscolusa featured musicians from Nashville for an intimate concert setting at the Nocatee Town Center and the crowd of 1,800+ enjoyed food trucks, wonderful music and local venders for a family fun evening. On the other side of town, the Freedom Festival rocked the Orange Park Mall parking lot with the US Navy Band SE, Big Engine, and Little Texas.
The grand finale for the summer concert festivals was the Stars and Stripes at the Seawalk Presented By Sight & Sound Productions. Not only did it bring the fireworks back to the beach, but also a day full of fun in the sun that included country artist Craig Campbell rocking out to a jammed packed crowd! The Independence Day festival made its mark for the first year back and we are already looking forward to producing next year’s event!
We hope you had as much fun enjoying the concerts as we did producing them! Summer concert season is the best; enjoy the rest of the summer!
