October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to kick off this period of increased consciousness and education, the Cancer Specialists of North Florida and FROG (Florida Radiation Oncology Group) presented the 5^th Annual Pink Ribbon Symposium at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Riverfront in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida.

Pink seemed to cover every square inch of the second floor of the hotel including the hundreds of vendors and volunteers that helped make this great event a success.

The symposium offered current information about breast cancer prevention, early detection and treatment options, side effects of treatment, survivorship plus varying health and wellness topics. Guests at the event included Olympic Gold Medalist Peggy Fleming and Jeannie Blaylock, there to share her Buddy Check 12 program which is celebrating its 20^th anniversary!
